How might we use Augmented reality to get users engaged with stories beyond the capabilities of videos and photos ?
We are creating immersive perspectives of stories and letting audiences interact and explore information differently.
Snapchat Integration: Snapchat has about 750 million weekly active users. We are leveraging on this platform to directly reach our target audience in a way that maximizes engagement.
Contents designed for young Audiences: By analyzing Snapchat users, we are able to design content that fits with their interests.
Educational and Informational value: Apart from engaging and entertaining our users, we aim to educate and create awareness about important social and societal issues.
DESIGN DIRECTION
Starting with Human-Centered Participatory Design sessions, this co-design approach fosters a sense of ownership and empowerment among all participants. It ensures that everyone has a voice in the process, leading to more inclusive and impactful outcomes.

BILD BALL
The 3D-rendered soccer ball incorporates the BILD newspaper's distinctive text and layout into its texture. Users can interact with a dynamic fusion of sports and media elements.
NEWSPAPER GOAL POST
The newspaper goal post features a design that integrates elements from the BILD newspaper, blending its iconic headlines and imagery into the structure.
HEADLINE QUESTIONS
In the AR lens, the question is visually presented in a torn-paper style with bold text, prompting users to engage by providing their answer. This interactive element enhances the user's experience by merging traditional media aesthetics with modern technology, creating a dynamic and immersive quiz-like interaction.
ANIMATIONS
The featured animations for the AR lens are simple and intuitive, including the smooth unfolding of the paper goal post from a squeezed position, the appearance of the player, and the bouncing motion of the ball. These elements are designed to create an engaging and user-friendly experience.
INTRO
Simple yet impactful animation visually communicates the integration of traditional media with digital technology, emphasizing the interactive nature of the AR experience.
